Google Workspace is the default choice for most mid-size companies and non-technical teams. Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Meet ship as one polished bundle with single sign-on across everything — if your team already writes documents in Google Docs, migration cost to Workspace is close to zero. Strengths. The web client experience is the best in class: fast, consistent, works from any browser or phone without native apps. Admin tooling (user provisioning, SSO/SAML, domain verification) is mature and well documented. Security features — advanced protection, 2FA enforcement, DLP policies — unlock on Business Standard and above, which matters for finance and healthcare teams. Weaknesses. Storage pricing is per-tier, not per-GB: you pay a step-function to move up a storage tier. Google has no true free tier; the legacy “Gmail + Drive” consumer bundle is not an enterprise product (no SLA, ads may appear, different admin model). M365 interop is good but not seamless — shared mailboxes and calendar permissions behave differently across the two ecosystems. Pricing. Current entry pricing, free tier and storage are shown in the verified specifications panel above — read from the vendor’s own pricing page, never copied between languages. Verdict for v1: the baseline every other provider is compared against. Choose it when collaboration tools matter as much as mail, and you want zero-maintenance operations in exchange for vendor lock-in.
