Overview

mailbox.org is a German email + calendar service built around open protocols — IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV work out of the box alongside the web and native clients. Strengths. PGP encryption supported natively; unlimited storage on Business; EU data sovereignty (Frankfurt); full CalDAV/CardDAV makes it drop-in for Thunderbird/Raindrop/Evolution setups. Weaknesses. No E2EE between mailbox.org users by default (that’s Proton/Tuta territory); interface is functional rather than polished; per-user pricing above the base tier adds up fast for big teams. Pricing. Current entry pricing, free tier and storage are shown in the verified specifications panel above — read from the vendor’s own pricing page, never copied between languages. Verdict v1: the right choice when open protocols + PGP matter more than a slick UI; ideal for engineers and EU data-sovereignty requirements.
