Overview

Posteo is a German, non-profit-adjacent email service with flat pricing and no ads — a favorite among privacy advocates in the EU. Strengths. Transparent single-price model (no storage tiers to game); EU-only infrastructure; PGP-friendly; long track record of stable operation since 2008; no tracking of any kind. Weaknesses. No E2EE between Posteo users by default (that’s a protocol-level feature, not a product one); web client is basic — best paired with Thunderbird; per-user pricing scales linearly for large orgs. Pricing. Current entry pricing, free tier and storage are shown in the verified specifications panel above — read from the vendor’s own pricing page, never copied between languages. Verdict v1: the cleanest privacy pick at a flat price; choose it if you’re happy to run Thunderbird and don’t need a shared inbox with full admin tooling.
